German athlete Max Kanter won the Kemer-Kaş stage of the 59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye.

The 190.6-kilometer Kemer-Kaş (Kalkan) stage took place on the second day of the 59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (Tour of Turkey 2024), organized by the Turkish Cycling Federation under the auspices of the Presidency and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The second stage, which started in front of the Kemer Clock Tower, was won by German cyclist Max Kanter from the World Team Astana Qazaqstan team with a time of 4:43:15.

-Medal ceremony in Kalkan

The second stage of the Tour of Turkey 2024, in which 171 athletes participated, was completed in Kalkan District, 27 kilometers away from Kaş. After the stage, a medal ceremony was held in Kalkan.

At the ceremony attended by Kaş Mayor Erol Demirhan, the winning athletes were presented with medals and flowers by the protocol members.

In his statement, President Erol Demirhan said that they were happy to host the Presidential Türkiye Cycling Tour.

Referring to the importance of the organization in terms of reflecting and promoting the historical and cultural riches of Kaş district, Mayor Demirhan said, "I think that Kaputaş, one of our important beaches, and other beauties of our district, the racers and our fellow citizens watching this organization on the screen had an enjoyable time." said.

The 59th Presidential Türkiye Cycling Tour will end with the Istanbul-Istanbul stage on April 28.
